Daily Bible Reading Day 72

Daily Bible Reading Day 72

Daily Bible Reading Day 72: Job 42

Job 42

God redeemed Job from all of his sufferings.  He was given livestock, a new family, and many more healthy years of living.

Job was remorseful of doubting God.  God condemned the friends of Job for accusing Job of sin.  God never mentioned Job and sin.  Therefore, Job lived a righteous life before all of that suffering.

There are many things God will do that we will never understand.  Let our faith increase and may we trust in the Lord to carry us through all we encounter.  We may not see the glory in this life, but we will in eternity.  God will redeem all of our hurt.

Daily Bible Reading Day 32

Daily Bible Reading Day 32: Job 1

Job 1

Job was a faithful man.  He was a holy man and blessed beyond measure.  Satan came before God and asked if anyone had faith without being blessed.  God mentioned his servant, Job.  Satan challenged God that Job would turn on God if his wealth and family were harmed.  God allowed Job for testing.

There were no priests at the time of Job.  The father was the head of the household.  Job prayed for his children.  He sacrificed on their behalf, for their sins.

Satan harmed Job’s livestock and his murdered his children.  A servant told Job the news, and he grieved and wept.  Job did not curse God or sin.

If your life was harmed in such a way that loved ones died and your possessions destroyed, could you remain sin free?  Could you not curse at God?  Job is the prime example of patience and faith.  Life will have problems, large and small.  We must trust in the Lord that He will fight for us and is in control.

Daily Bible Reading Day 283

Daily Bible Reading Day 283:1 Kings 13/Philippians 4

1 Kings 13

The prophesy of Josiah was spoken about 300 years before his birth.

There was a prophet that was given instruction to NOT eat or drink while on his mission.  He did not listen to God, he listened to a man.  A lion killed him.  If God has a word of instruction for you, follow it because it is for you or to carry our His will.

Philippians 4

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think of these things.       Philippians 4:8

Paul was a master of being content and joyful in all circumstances.  While he was in jail, he was encouraging a church to remain joyful.

When we have faith in something, it then turns into complete trust.  We can trust God wholeheartedly in any situation because God has overcome and is in control and this earth is not our home.

When our thoughts are on the negative, we say negative things.  Our mindset is off.  When we focus on the good things of the Lord, we act in righteousness.  Being positive isn’t enough, acting in obedience to Christ is what gives us hope.

God will gives us strength in those difficult times.  We aren’t given super natural powers but we are given the stamina and hope to stay functioning and thriving.

We must remember God will supply all of our needs, not wants/desires.  There are many things we want in life, but truly don’t need.  Ask God to help you desire His will for your life.

Daily Bibel Rading Day 276

Daily Bible Reading Day 276: 1 Kings 6/Ephesians 3

1 Kings 6

The word of the Lord came to Solomon: As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keeps my commandsand obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave David your father and I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.  1 Kings 6:11-13

King Solomon built the temple.  In verses 11-13, this summarizes the main purpose of the temple. Unfortunately, sin is easy to do.  If we close our hearts to God, we will no longer feel His presence.

Ephesians 3

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Ephesans 3:20

We can approach God with confidence because of our faith.  We have a direct line to God himself, through prayer.  We do not need anyone or anything.  God hears us and sees us.  Paul wanted the Gentiles to know this.

At this time Paul was under arrest by the Romans because he was preaching the gospel.  Paul believed that God was in control and he did not have to fight or worry.  We should have that same belief, God has our best interest.  Suffering will happen, especially when doing work for God.

God’s love is far, deep and wide.  It is all encompassing.  We are never alone when we are loved by God.
