Spiritual Warfare Seminar Marks Lion’s Light International’s Inaugural Mission
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” -Ephesians 6:12
CEO and Ambassador of Missions Lori Jéan Medina headed up Lion’s Light International’s first official mission trip to the greater Columbus area of Ohio over the weekend of June 6-8. Organized and hosted by Ashley Little, an Ohio resident and friend of Lori Jéan’s, the trip focused on delivering Biblical truth in a seminar titled “Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance.”
Eleven people attended the roughly 6-hour seminar on Saturday, which was held at a hotel in the Columbus suburb of Dublin. Following the seminar, a woman in attendance who struggled with strong spiritual oppression was set free by the power of the Lord Christ Jesus in a very moving and memorable moment that brought to mind Jesus’ healing touch and forgiving spirit as He ministered throughout Judea and Samaria.
On Saturday evening, as the summer sun gave way to the streetlights of a darkening Columbus, Lori Jéan and a fellow team member walked toward a zone of the state capital notorious for its sex trade. They were joined by a team from Sparrow’s Hope, a ministry that roams the streets –of Columbus, but once a year they travel to India –sharing the Gospel with victims and perpetrators of human trafficking. That very night, one of the prostitutes they spoke with gave her life to Jesus. Later on, the team stood outside of a drug rehab center and prayed with six men.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” -John 8:36
On Sunday, the team went to the town of Powell to pray with some dear friends facing personal challenges, confirming Lion’s Light International purpose of shining the light of Christ’s love personally, and at times, privately. As Lion’s Light continues to pray about their next mission trip, the ministry will consider taking up Sparrow’s Hope director’s invitation to join them in India in January 2019.
